Effective February 19, 2002, prior to transporting a firearm into the U.S. for hunting or target shooting, a gun owner from out of country would have to complete ATF Form 6NIA and submit it and a copy of their hunting license or invitation to a shooting event to the ATF for approval prior to entering the United States with a weapon. This could be a lengthy process, so the ATF is suggesting a 6 week turn around. Form 6NIA is available from the ATF or from U.S. Customs.

U. S. Government forms can usually also be obtained from the U. S. Embassy or Consulate in your country.

For Winter Range shooters, your confirmation letter from us should be sufficient.
