LONG RANGE EVENTS
Long range competition is different than main match competition with more emphasis placed on precision shooting at longer ranges, with time being a secondary scoring factor. Scoring for these matches is determined by the number of hits. Total time is used to break ties.
Winter Range offers eight Long Range Events:

















Note: All Ranges +/- 20 yards
Revolver
 Start one loaded pistol holstered and one loaded pistol in hand at a 45 degree angle.
 10 rds, alternating on two targets at 60 - 65 yds.
Rifle – Pistol Caliber
 Start with Hammer Down on Empty Chamber
 Standing – Rifle at the ready - Offhand – No Rests
 10 rds, alternating on two targets at 100 - 120 yds.
Rifle – Rifle Caliber
 Start with Hammer Down on Empty Chamber
 Artificial Rests (Sticks) Allowed
 10 rds, two target at 225 - 250 yds.
Single Shot
 Start with open empty chamber
Artificial Rests (Sticks) allowed
 10 rds, alternating on two targets at 280 - 300 yds.
Buffalo Single Shot
 Start with open empty chamber
Artificial Rests (Sticks) allowed
 10 rds, alternating on two targets at 280 - 300 yds.
Single Shot - Optical Category
 Start with open empty chamber
